Sky Lanterns showcase Cathayan innovation, serving the Celestial Dragon’s armies by providing elevated observation and battlefield command. Suspended beneath the lantern is an armored gondola where a Magistrate signals troops and directs artillery fire using fans and banners. To counter enemy flyers or missile units, pairs of Crane Gunners take precise shots from their advantageous position. This multipart plastic kit assembles one striking Sky Lantern, a unique war engine for your Armies of Grand Cathay in Warhammer: The Old World. Versatile in role, it can function as airborne artillery or a bomb-dropping platform. The kit includes a Magistrate figure, buildable either mounted or on foot, with options to arm the crew with Crane Guns, iron hail guns, or gunpowder and dragon fire bombs. An optional bomb rack can be attached to the gondola. This miniature offers both tactical effectiveness and visual impact on the tabletop.
The kit comprises 128 plastic components, 1x Citadel 100mm Square Base, 1x Citadel 25mm Square Base, 1x Citadel Large Flying Stem, and 1x Sky Lantern Transfer Sheet containing 115 high-quality waterslide transfers to decorate your miniatures.
This miniature requires assembly and is supplied unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
