1/12 Scale Tyrell P34 Six Wheeler Plastic Model Kit by Tamiya

Description

When the Tyrrell P34 was first unveiled to the public on September 22, 1975 as the first 6-wheeled machine in F1 history, it caused an enormous sensation. With four small diameter front wheels and two normal-sized rear wheels, the design sought to reduce drag, increase braking performance, and improve handling. The car made its F1 debut at the hands of Patrick Depailler on May 2, 1976 at the Spain GP. Just a few races later, at the Sweden GP, Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler made history by driving their P34 machines to a one-two finish. The team also took 3rd place in the Constructor's Championship, ensuring a place in racing history for the revolutionary machine.

Kit features:

  • Scale: 1/12
  • Moving depictions of complex front and rear suspensions employ coil springs.
  • The engine is realistically rendered with an array of pipes, cords and lines.
  • Front, side and cockpit cowl parts are removable, allowing inspection of the detail underneath.
  • A superbly detailed finish is provided by photo-etched parts depicting brake discs, radiator parts, nose wing endplates, rear spoiler & seatbelt parts, and more!
  • High-quality Cartograf decals recreate car numbers 3 and 4, plus Goodyear markings.
  • Tire decals included.
  • Great detail with photo-etched parts for the radiator, nose cowl wingtips and more. Goodyear logo markings also included.
