Overview:
In 1994, a new touring car called New Touring started in place of the previous Group A touring car race.
JTCC is a touring car race that started in Japan in 1994 according to the regulations.
While overseas manufacturers are also participating, the machine prepared by Toyota was the Corona ST191.
A further improvement of the locally developed machine for racing in the UK with the same regulations that began the previous year in 1993.
It was put into the JTCC in Japan.
The body of the 4-door sedan Corona has not changed significantly in appearance, and the 1998cc 4-cylinder engine is mounted horizontally on the front.
The suspension and other parts were also tuned to demonstrate high combat power.
In the 1994 race, 5 cars from 3 teams participated.
In addition to winning the Suzuka 500km, he fought for the championship until the final race.
